My New (Disgusting) Snack

by Raegan Huston on June 14, 2012

I just wrote the title for this post but Mommy made me alter it. I wanted to call it “My New Snack” but she made me add the word “disgusting.” I don’t think that my new snack is disgusting but I’ll see what you guys think about it. I always hear people say that greens are good so I thought that the same would go for me! Apparently, that isn’t the case.

You see, I have a fixation with a new green snack: GRASS. I love it! I started eating it when winter was officially over and the gardeners/landscapers started coming again. I don’t know what they are doing different this year but their machines are leaving these little divot-like pieces of grass…just for ME! Look at the first picture here! That is exactly what I look like with my new snack!

I really like the grass, even if it upsets my belly once in a rare blue moon. Mommy has done a lot of reading about eating grass and I definitely don’t eat it to make myself sick. I have been thinking about it and do you want to know what I like even more than the taste of the grass? I LOVE the way it becomes a game with Mommy and me! I try to eat the grass and she chases me! I stop eating the grass and she stops the chase. So…I start eating again! It is such a lot of fun! I really wish that the landscapers will come again soon!

Even Aunt Molly gets in on the action sometimes. She seems to enjoy the lawn after it has been mowed, too! The two of us love taking tastes and watching the reaction from Mommy or Grandma. They really are so excitable sometimes!

Grass is greenery so it should be good roughage but Mommy seems to think otherwise. What do you think about this interesting snack?

Raegan, Raincloud and I had the saaaaaame game! I got him some healthy plants to eat and now he likes those and leaves the yucky grass alone. :-) But Raegan, mice are supposed to eat lots of plants! Doodles are supposed to eat meat and doggy treats!

Ah-h-h-h-h a girl after my own heart! Hi Reagan, my name is Winston. I just love those grass clumps too. My mom doesn’t like me eating them either. She use to chase me too till she got sick and can’t do it anymoe. I miss that game it was fun. I tried to convince my mom I needed more fiber in my diet. That didn’t work. We now play a different type of game which is fun too. Everytime I get a clump of grass she calls me. I then come to her with the grass in my mouth. Drop it and get a treat. You can pick up a whole bunch of bad things to give to your mom for treats. I do…..like rocks, sticks, paper……you name it. So, since your mom won’t let you eat them try trading them for a treat………….have fun and good luck.
