Hey, friends! I have some big, big news that I MUST share with you! This is really neat so I hope that you will be just as thrilled about it as I am! A few weeks ago, my health insurance company, Trupanion, put up an update on their Facebook page. The update said this:
“To our Trupanion policyholders: we just may name our new meeting room after your pet! Enter your pet here:”
There was a link that led to a page on the Trupanion website with all of the specifics. Essentially, Trupanion is moving to a new office building and they needed names for their brand new conference rooms. They wanted to name the rooms after the pets that they insure so they asked for people to submit entries describing their pet’s ideal meeting room.
Do you think that I was going to let Mommy write on my behalf when I have perfectly good typing paws? No way! I did the writing all by myself. This is what I wrote:
“Hi! I’m Raegan Huston. My Mommy is a blogger and she actually hopes to guest blog for you guys! I’m a blogger, too, and I love doing my work. I don’t have a fancy meeting room (yet) but the opportunity to create one is so exciting! I’m really good at business and I have a keen eye for design so this is right up my alley.
My favorite color is pink. Since this is a meeting room, the room should be decked out with iMacs and MacBooks with pink covers. Pink swivel chairs would be fantastic. There will be an area with comfy couches and a coffee table for more intimate round-table discussions.
Speaking of coffee, since many important guests will be coming to the meeting room, there should definitely be a coffee brewer. We should always be able to offer people a wide variety of specialty coffees. In case people don’t want coffee, we will also have a water cooler. We can’t just cater to the 2-leggers in my room, though. There should also be a water cooler for the 4-leggers. It will be at our eye level so that it is convenient for us. I’m not talking about regular tap water here, though. I’m talking about high quality water, complete with electrolytes. Electrolytes are very important and if they are off balance then our blood test reports come back funny. We don’t want that to happen since pet health is a priority at Trupanion.
While a lot of business decisions will be made in this meeting room, I also like to have fun. I’ve been told once or twice that I’m a bit of a party animal. It can’t look like it is all work and no play in there. We want to give off the impression that Trupanion is a very enjoyable environment. I absolutely LOVE stuffed animals. As such, every square inch of the flooring in my meeting room will be covered with stuffies. I’m sure that the humans will take notice and the cats and dogs will pawsitively love it!
More details are available upon request but I think that the initial design I have described is the cat’s meow.
When do I start work?
Respectfully yours,
Raegan Huston”
Guess what?!?!?! Trupanion contacted Mommy and let her know that my submission was chosen! One of their meeting rooms is
going to be named after me!!!! Can you imagine?! “The Raegan Meeting Room!” I am delighted and SO excited. They asked for a photo of me so that they can have it made into a pretty (and distinguished?) sign that will be hung just outside the conference room. The photo that you see here is the image that Mommy & I submitted. I really like the way that my hair looks in the picture. I was on a powerboat and it was blowing naturally by the bay air.
Isn’t this so awesome? I can’t wait to hear more from Trupanion and to see the finished sign!
XO- RH
